The N Project aims to build a society where scientific literacy is shared across generations and social groups, serving as a foundation for dialogue and collaboration. By using radiation as a theme, high school students present science through sketchbooks, drawing the attention of diverse citizens—a sign that science is becoming embedded in daily life. Science is not confined to experts or the sciences but is envisioned as a public resource accessible to all, forming the basis of a democratic and resilient society. Middle-aged citizens, teachers, and local residents also participate, creating intergenerational and cross-institutional chains of learning through mutual exchange and collaboration. Alumni continue their involvement, with efforts toward forming an NPO and fostering partnerships between municipalities and educational institutions to build communities where science is a shared language. Internationally, at Expo 2025, 2,000 high school students will communicate scientific messages in over 150 languages, spreading the vision of science as a “global language.” At its core, the N Project seeks to make science a force that connects people, regions, generations, and the world.
