Contribution to the SDGs

Quality Education – Ensuring inclusive and equitable learning opportunities for all.

[SDG 4] Quality Education for All (4.1, 4.3, 4.4, 4.7, 4.c)
At the core of the N Project is fostering scientific literacy—the ability to think, reason, and express ideas scientifically. By offering STEAM-based learning opportunities to diverse groups, including humanities-track students, the project promotes dialogue-driven curricula, the creation of handmade and smartphone-based teaching materials, as well as teacher training and faculty development (FD) initiatives to enhance educational capacity.
In particular, acquiring the ability to “think based on facts and draw logical conclusions” equips students—regardless of humanities or science track—with essential skills for life in modern society, while contributing to the creation of a resilient community resistant to rumors and misinformation. Currently, the program is expanding beyond Osaka High School to multiple institutions such as Senri High School, enabling inter-school collaboration and broader educational reach.
At Expo 2025 Osaka–Kansai, students will showcase sketchbooks in 158 languages, positioning science as a global language and embodying educational diversity and inclusivity on an international stage. High school students’ presentations of scientific knowledge to society not only strengthen their self-esteem but also inspire teachers’ professional growth—leading to positive outcomes such as humanities teachers acquiring science-related national qualifications or joining scientific societies.
